I do believe that Mugabe must give Dr Morgan chance to restore the lives of people of Zimbabwe. Hence , They are laughing stock all over the world. Their integrity, humanity, respect are gone.
by Godfrey on March 20, 2008, 7:31 am
President Mugabe must stop to inticed people of Zimbabwe with food parcels for voting him. We are globally praying for the almighty God to intervene about the election of the people of Zimbabwe. Zimbabwe is rich with natural resources, intelligent people, excellent educational standards. but President Mugabe has distorted every thing. People of Zimbabwe do not be fooled by Dr Mugabe saying he wil do this from now on. While he failed to do that at the reign of 28 years.

Vote for a " Change Please ", Look In South Africa we do want somebody to stay in the position of presidency more than ten years.

Therefore, We are living well , Our economy is also growing

by carlos crochet on March 25, 2008, 8:52 pm
Carlos Crochet when last did you go to Zimbabwe and see the devestation and suffering that your hero Mugabe has heaped on the Nation. Thankfully, not all enlightened Black Americans (such as the ones I've met) share your views.
by Black Zimbabwean on March 26, 2008, 5:08 pm
Mr Black american u should be busy lliving your good life in America and leave us to fight our dictator. If you love him so much get him and stay with him in Harlem. Pse rid us of this old evil spirit. Do u know Obama? You should know such people who need your vote

I acknowledge the views of those anti-Mugabe but in a democracy we have the freedom to choose. Therefore i wish Mr. Mugabe all the best today- may he win resoundingly.

Zimbabwean Presidential Elections should be released. The current incumbent has oversatyed his welcome and it is about time that he should vacate the office. The office of the Presaident has appointed the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission, now what is the point of calling for people to come and vote if you are going to refuse the results of the elections?
by Solomon Ramapundu on April 8, 2008, 2:50 pm
Our President (Mbeki) has lost touch with what is happening in our neighbouring country (Zimbabwe). How on earth can he say that things in Zimbabwe are hunky dory when he knows for sure that things are very bad there? People are not blinded by Mugabe's refusal to release the Presidential election results. They know that he is refusing to do so because he lost the elections. How on earth can you begin to call for a run-off if you do'nt know the results of the eledtions? You can only call for a run-off when you are sure of the results. The people of the Republic of Zimbabwe have spoken and they want change. They are tired of crossing the border into their neighbouring South Africa to scrambe for food, they are tired of sleeping with an empty stomach, but above all, they are tired of a leader they once regarded as their saviour. Of all the things taking place in Zimbabwe, it is the ordinary people in the street who are suffering the most because they have no jobs to go to, they can not even afford to buy bread, lt alone send their children to school. Amid all these miseries, Robert "Bob" Mugabe, his wife, Ministers and their children leave in absolute comfort. The farms, taken forcibly from white farmers who were farming productively on those farms, are owned now by cabinet ministers and Mugabe's cronies. One day, even if it can not be today, history will judge Mugabe harshly. The blood of of the people of Matebeland, whose sins were to openly support joshua Nkomo, in a coutry which is supposed to be democratic, will always haunt Mugabe

In almost all the things that are said by COSATU leadership, i mostly disagree with their analysis of situations under discussions, mostly because i find it difficult to find logic in what they say and do.

Take for an example, the exing of the Federation's Preisident, Willie Madisha. He was expelled because of " the way in which he handled the R500 000 donation to the SACP by a businessman". Firstly, this is not a COSATU matter, but a matter between Madisha and the SACP. It is awell known fact that Madisha and Vavi's relatioship has always been a rocky one. It all started with Madisha revealing that Vavi abused the federation's credit cards, a matter which has since been swept under the carpet. Secondly Madisha's support for openly supporting President Thabo Mbeki on his bid for the Presidency of the ANC.

In my opinion, there is nothing wrong in supporting Thabo Mbeki's bid for a second term of the ANC's Presidency. The Constitution of the Republic of South Africa affords all citizens an opportunity to express and associate with whoever they want.

But, I must agree, Vavi's analysis and differin opinion with President Mbeki on the Zimbabwe debacle, was really well thought. I disagree with Mbeki that the situation in Zimbabwe is manageable, because it is not. People went to voting stations and voted for the party and leaders they need and want and those who were given minority votes, should give way to the newly elected leadership who should start with the rebuilding process. It is of no use to force a government which lost an election, down the throats of the Zimbabwean eletorate.

The International community, SADC, included, should stand firm in their call for the elections results to be released. If needs be, an international peacekeeping force should be deployed so that the situatiuon is not allowed to deteriorate to catastrophic levels. Our borthers and sisters should not be allowed to perish in the hands of one individual who is not prepared to accept legitimate outcome of an election.

Makoni is ahero both before independence immediately after and now. He left as a cabinet minister because his policies fell on a ditator's ear. He made the recent elections exciting and possible and because of him the opposition swept ZanuPF aside. Tsvangirai won not because he is a motal he shouldnt believe that every opposition supporter won even us in the diaspora won not only MDC Tsvangirai. People voted to remove dictatorship and proper elections should be held after a proper constitution and a transitional gorvenment of course led by Tsvangirai as at present he is in the lead. MDC do not make the same mistake made by Mugabe and ZanuPF to Nkomo and ZapuPF after independence elections. We fought together so let's rule together. Do not anger the Gods of Zimbabwe further like what Mugabe did to Nkomo. Rule with Makoni and Dumiso together with the ZLP we fought for the independence of Zimbabwe and we were never ever recognised, but tortured for years before Tsvangirai was even known. You are not the only ones MDC who have suffered enough we liberators especially former ZIPRA airforce specialists, remember us. Makoni for next president do the Mandela way, give way.
